MIVO CHIPS
IMMUNE on CHIP
Immune on chip is a unique and customizable model for studying the immune system in a physiologically relevant and controlled environment
To date, preclinical safety and efficacy assessments of immunotherapies are carried out through extensive in vitro cultures addressing the cellular and molecular basis of immune responses, in-vivo xenografts and genetically engineered animal models.
However, both approaches show limitations, and the success of immunotherapeutic approaches strictly depends on the development of highly reliable and predictive preclinical models.
Increase predictivity by using a multi-organ approach to test immuno-therapies and better understand mechanisms behind complex immune-tumor cells interplay.
IMMUNE ON CHIP APPLICATIONS
Highly flexible model for your different applications
Immuno-oncology
Study the interactions between immune cells and cancer cells, by adopting 3D in vitro/ex vivo human physiologically relevant cancer models
Immune effects on infectious disease
Study the immune response to infectious diseases, such as viruses and bacteria, and test new therapies or vaccines
Personalized medicine
Develop personalized treatments for a variety of immune-related diseases, including autoimmune disorders or allergies
Personalized Immunotherapies
Recapitulate the human pathology and efficiently run immunotherapies to study their effects in a fully humanized and immunocompetent in vitro platform
Veterinary medicine research
Study immune-related diseases in animals and develop new treatments
Drugs impact on the immune system
Assess the effects of the interactions between new drugs and the immune system
POSSIBLE OUTCOMES
Immune on Chip Models
A more realistic and physiologically relevant environment for more predictive readouts
Activation of immune cells is evaluated by recovering the cells from circulating medium and assessing them for their phenotype by flow cytometry
